How to Store Lyophilized Research Peptides Properly
Proper storage helps protect research materials from heat, light, moisture and unnecessary temperature changes. Always follow the product label because storage requirements can vary by compound.
The Four Main Storage Concerns
Temperature
Keep products within the temperature range listed on the label. Avoid leaving vials in vehicles, direct sunlight or other hot areas.
Light
Store vials away from direct sunlight and strong artificial light. Use an opaque container when additional light protection is needed.
Moisture
Keep containers properly closed and protect lyophilized materials from humidity and condensation.
Temperature Changes
Avoid unnecessary warming and cooling cycles. Use stable storage conditions whenever possible.
Essential Storage Checklist
- Read the storage instructions printed on the product label.
- Keep each vial clearly labeled with its product and lot number.
- Protect the vial from excessive heat, direct light and moisture.
- Avoid repeated temperature changes and unnecessary handling.
- Do not freeze a product unless its documentation permits it.
- Record the date received and the storage conditions used.
- Keep research materials secured from unauthorized individuals.
When Your Order Arrives
Confirm that the correct products were received and inspect the packaging for visible damage. Record each vial’s lot number and match it with the corresponding Certificate of Analysis.
Move the products to their recommended storage conditions promptly. If a package or vial appears damaged, photograph it and contact Nivo Labs before beginning laboratory work.
